Although this device has 4 channels it is only 2 stereo outputs and not
surround. This works fine in FreeBSD, I get audio from output 1&2 and not 3&4
which is what I want. Do you still think virtual_oss would help in this case?

I can try compiling a new kernel, but it will probably take a while since I
have never done that before.
