The build/install based on doing (after
building and installing portmaster with make
--and previously having built/installed pkg
2.3.1):

# portmaster /usr/ports/x11-wm/windowmaker
# portmaster /usr/ports/sysutils/u-boot-pine64

worked just fine --but was based on my
option selectiions.

The larger and more complicated the environment
available to use to isolate the injection from,
the less likely I'm going to try to do the
isolation.

Looks like this context has 114 ports installed
(2 being portmaster and pkg) but it was not a
sufficient context to have the problem.

If you have multiple contexts showing the problem,
which has the smallest installed port count
involved? Can you do anything to find ports that
you can avoid building/installing with portmaster,
while still reproducing the problem, such as
avoiding some optional build activity that does
not contribute to the problem?
