USE_GCC was added due to code incompatibility with clang-8.0.0 but
clang-8.0.1-+rc4-1 reported to be fixed. We have at least clang-10 in all
supported branches (and 11.4), so maybe it is time to remove USE_GCC and
re-test the port?
