Both Thunderbird (macOS) and NewsTap (iPad) worked for both posting to
0.test and for reading 0.test .

This testing activity was using no_email@invalid.invalid (which is what
showed up when I first did this and left the fields blank [NewsTap was
first]). I set up the same in Thunderbird .

So it does appear that the problematical posting to news.gmane.io
"groups" is somehow specific to news.gmane.io use for both NewsTap and
Thunderbird use.


I see that you have reported having 2 postings not show up as well. At
least your gmane.discuss postings generally seem to be working for you.
I've no communication channel for gmane support so far.


Because of the way my Thunderbird context has been working --and the
example double post that I got-- I'm setting the Newgroups field to be
empty (when I remember to deal with that). In the long run that will
likely be normal for me for FreeBSD Mailing List use.

Other than these experiments and the indirect FreeBSD Mailing Lists use,
I've no other newsgroup use and some FreeBSD Mail Lists are the only
Mail Lists I deal with as well. (FreeBSD.org does have 2 newsgroups
according to one of their web pages. I only deal with some of the
Mailing Lists.)
