Bug 266743 comment 7 in a nutshell:
* success with addition of a freebsd-installer repo to
/etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf
(consistent with comment 6 above)
* failure with env(1) (the screenshot captures only
two failed experiments; various other experiments
also failed).
I guess, this bug 289875 should:
* at least, fix the non-existence of
/dist/packages/repos
before 15.0-RELEASE
* ideally, simplify FreeBSD Installer for the live system to be
immediately usable with the
-dvd1.iso offline non-base repo (xorg et cetera), plus maybe the
offline _base_ repo.
For example: an operator might be surprised by the absence of csh/tcsh (or easy
editor or whatever) after completing a minimal installation. If the relevant
bases packages are offline: make it easy to use these packages.
