printf (/usr/bin) and built-in from sh/tcsh shells doesn't allow to display
UTF-8 characters by using their hexa code.

Simple shell broken example (works using bash):

#!/bin/sh
echo "Trying to display UTF-8 character ⩽"
printf '\u2A7D\n'
