Back in the "old days" most >drivers weren't as sophisticated and commonly simply kept the same resolution. >This is not a bug. :) > >--Chris > >---8<-------8<----- > but does it have to keep blinking all the time? i don't have any different settings in any of those 12 terminals maybe that text mode helps me. anyway sc helps me too, but that option will go away does it mean it keeps flickering then? unsure if it will goes away in uefi machines to be honest, there are cases when you need physical console to debug stuff. sometimes you need extra terminal. it quite largely disrupts view if you do ttyv0 <-> ttyv1, and there's always a blank screen and 1s delay each time you switch since now video apparently always has to reset either this doesn't happen on uefi, noone uses console, or noone cares? imagine if this would happen in x i don't know why it has to absolutely happen? even if resolution is effectively same?
