OK; I got a copy of the vmcore.8 file up:

albert(14.3-S)[4] ls -lTh
total 1085800
-rw-r--r-- 1 david staff 75M Sep 17 08:39:07 2025 core.txt.8
-rw-r--r-- 1 david staff 14M Sep 17 08:39:08 2025 core.txt.8.gz
-rw-r--r-- 1 david staff 1.6G Sep 17 10:32:43 2025 vmcore.8
-rw-r--r-- 1 david staff 439M Sep 17 10:32:43 2025 vmcore.8.gz

at https://www.catwhisker.org/~david/FreeBSD/stable_15/

The same machine updated to each of:
FreeBSD 16.0-CURRENT #592 main-n280399-dea1dd669054: Wed Sep 17 13:51:04 -00 2025 root@localhost:/common/S4/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/CANARY amd64 1600000 1600000

and

FreeBSD 14.3-STABLE #546 stable/14-n272425-123881aead72: Wed Sep 17 11:41:51 UTC 2025 root@localhost:/common/S1/obj/usr/src/amd64.amd64/sys/CANARY amd64 1403506 1403506

without that issue. (stable/14 seems OK; head has been getting a
panic that appears to be ACPI-related both today and yesterday
(main-n280375-da20d88599d5); I had not seen an issue at
main-n280375-da20d88599d5. I only have reason to believe that's
ACPI-related because my build machine's serial console seemed to
have a similar issue, and I was actually able to see the characters
on it once. Sorry I've not been able to report much about that -- I'm
away from home at an offsite meeting for work, on a lunch break just now.)

Peace,
david
