cpan module install

Hello

when I install a cpan module with pkg, 
it is stored in /usr/local/lib/per5/...

When I install cpan module (as root) with command cpan, the module is
stored in root directory. (~/.cpan/...)

It is possible to store these module in /usr/local/lib/... too?
