Regarding PAM support for mdo

hello there, i was working on adding PAM support to mdo and i noticed that it was a delieverable until revision 7 of the wiki page of GSoC's mdo improvement project and was removed in revision 8

and i tried looking for any clue that would indicate why that was the case but i found nothing.

so i would be really glad to know if the reason were some blockers or security wise issues i am not aware of
