I am closing this bug because the metaport proposal has had no community
interest or maintainer response from ruby@FreeBSD.org in over 4 years. The
patch is self-described as incomplete (no flavors integration), and the Ruby
versions discussed (Ruby 2.6) are long EOL. The proposal appears abandoned.
