Not much has changed since PR 251403: RISC-V is still a tier 2 platform and
supporting it is not easy. I could test it only using some kind of emulation,
but there are also many more issues on tier 1 platforms that have higher
priority.

The suggestion is still to just try it and let us know if it works.

The only thing that I can add is that there is a constant effort in reducing as
much as possible the number of ports that require GCC as a dependency, so
hopefully the impact of the absence of a GCC port for RISC-V should get smaller
and smaller.
