Serial output can be found here: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-riscv/2025-May/000528.html I've seen this. I've got one of these as well. The first thing I wanted to do is rebase u-boot so that netbooting will work; the vendor version (at lesat from the openwrt images) does load loader.efi over the net but then sets mmc as boot device. I'd love to at least get the kernel loaded from loader over the net as that'll make developing a lot easier; Then I guess writing the network driver bits at least for basic packet passing would be nice; then there'll be a ton of peripheral support... sdhci bits first likely ... Just wondering if anyone had actually started doing anything about that... > You need to set console to serial otherwise it will send it to hdmi and you won't capture the panic. > > sdhci_fdt.c driver can be used for sd / emmc, but due to the panic I couldn't get anywhere with it: > > mmcsd0: 32GB <SDHC LX32G 1.0 SN 4138307C MFG 07/2023 by 173 LS> (read-only) at mmc0 25.0MHz/4bit/65535-block > sbi_ipi0: using for IPIs > Release APs > timeout stopping cpus > panic: mtx_lock() by idle thread 0xffffffc05ce00b80 on mutex 0xffffffc000b7c180 @ > (Same panic reason as in link above) > > On Tuesday, 2 September 2025 at 20:09, Bjoern A.
