As for FreeBSD well, I can tell you that is runs great in qemu and you can even buildworld/buildkernel and that "just works"(tm). Which is pretty damn awesome. I am sure the SiFive goodness will rip well and true real soon now (rsn). Oh, also, ZFS works.
