Hardware vendors don't jump through hoops for either FreeBSD or Linux
drivers. In addition to quantity, quality also plays a role, and as far
as quality is concerned, luck also plays a role, i.e. whether a highly
motivated programmer owns a certain hardware and needs the driver for it
for FreeBSD and/or Linux herself/himself.
