If I understand the question, I think you want something like: pkg search -Q required-by [pkg name] You can check pkg-search(8) for other filters and options and such. FYI I don't see a package called "linux-compat-rl9" in the repo at the moment, at least not with 'pkg search' or Freshports or a quick search through /usr/ports/ src -- you may want to check that name. 'pkg search' and related commands are quite useful, and Freshports et al are good tools for searching FreeBSD pkg things in general. Cheers, sr.
