XFCE shutdown

Hello.

Up to 13.2 my laptop would work fine WRT to this, but since I upgraded 
to 13.3, when I shutdown through XFCE shutdown dialog, the machine does 
not power off: all goes blank, but then I have to press the power button.
"shutdown -p now" works though.
What can I check?
