Locate disk in enclosure

Good day,
A disk on a remote server running FreeBSD 11 has failed and the hosting
company wants me to turn on the fault or locate
light so they can replace the disk for me. So far I have not had success:
[root@ns ~]# sesutil -u /dev/ses0 locate /dev/da1 on
sesutil: Count not find the SES id of device '/dev/da1'
