You did not get my question right... I just yeasterday posted my
question about suggestions on FreeBSD-net with no satisfactory answer. I
am using FreeBSD for 20 years for that matter and have no problems with
old notebook, but the HW must be changed sometimes...

Now, notebooks are without ethernet mostly, just wireless. I tried 2
USB-C RJ45 adapters:

both of them stop working when there is significant traffic on the
interface.

That's why I am asking what are people using. Both chipset should be
working, but apparently there are some problems.
