I have this in my /etc/rc.conf :

syslogd_enable="YES"
syslogd_flags="-ss -vv"

this in my /etc/syslog.conf :

*.*;console.none                                /var/log/all.log

and this in my /etc/newsyslog.conf :

/var/log/all.log                        600  6     *    $W0D1 J

[you'll get double logging without console.none]
