The packaged command is broken anyway: setup.py's entry point is rst2html5_:main, but rst2html5_.py is not installed. Upstream (https://foss.heptapod.net/doc-utils/rst2html5) has been dormant since 2.0.1 (2024-01-06), and 2.0.1 still installs an rst2html5 script that overwrites the one from docutils by design, so updating would not remove the conflict. An update would have to rename the script, probably for little value, since docutils now ships an rst2html5 command of its own. This proposes deprecating it; I've left EXPIRATION_DATE for you to set. The patch sets DEPRECATED=3D Conflicts with its own dependency textproc/py-docutils BROKEN=3D its bin/rst2html5 conflicts with its own dependency textproc/py-docutils If you would rather keep the port, it would need an update to 2.0.1 with its rst2html5 script renamed so it no longer overwrites the one from textproc/py-docutils, which already ships that command. Impact: no ports depend on it. The ports that use an rst2html5 command (json-glib, pango, taisei) already use the one from docutils. Users can use the rst2html5 command from textproc/py-docutils.
