The DOCS option in this port exists for a reason. The burden is from a port maintenance perspective of having to needlessly k= eep track of multiple ports especially when non-essential functionality is split out. It leads to neglect and rot on the split port when we forget to also k= eep it in sync during updates to the original port, no matter how many reminder comments in the Makefile are present. It gets worse when reconciling with quarterly. And now scientific Python (numpy and scipy) have stopped offering online docs for every minor version starting with the respective current release branches; we are already seeing that with scipy 1.17.1 (the docs tarballs are generated from the same sources). This anti-pattern will not be entertained. Docs will not be split. No if, a= nds or buts about it. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
