I also noticed this about SQLITE_OMIT_LOAD_EXTENSION seeming useless, having
built sqlite statically quite a few times over the years I recognized it as a
compile time option for the lib ... But I guess I was assuming whatever came
before me was OK.  For all I knew there was something elsewhere that was
looking at it.
