Why can't individual port maintainers update their DEPENDS from math/py-numpy1
to math/py-numpy... right now?  Or if one wants to do the work, update all
ports that will work with numpy-2.x in one fell swoop.  Personally I'm fine
with the former.  Itw doesn't have to happen all at once.
