--- Comment #1 from Ed Maste <emaste@freebsd.org> ---
To confirm, this is installed from the official 15.0 install image (and not a
custom build)?
OpenSSL has a rather "baroque" build system that generates assembly source from
perl scripts, see e.g. crypto/openssl/crypto/perlasm/ppc-xlate.pl:
my $vshasigmad = sub { my ($st,$six)=splice(@_,-2); vcrypto_op(@_,
$st<<4|$six, 1730); };
my $vshasigmaw = sub { my ($st,$six)=splice(@_,-2); vcrypto_op(@_,
$st<<4|$six, 1666); };
and generated files like sys/crypto/openssl/powerpc64/sha256p8-ppc.S:
vadduwm 6,6,28
vadduwm 7,7,29
.long 0x13C4FE82
vadduwm 7,7,30
vxor 29,0,1
vsel 29,1,2,29
vadduwm 3,3,7
.long 0x13C08682
vadduwm 30,30,29
vadduwm 7,7,30
The generated files are added to the tree, so any build-time config to set the
CPU type will have no effect.
