    I actually decided to try both. I first moved any local XFCE4
configs out of my home directory, logged out and back in, same problem.
So, I created a new user and logged in with a fresh, default home
directory, same issue. So, it doesn't appear to be a user config/env
issue. Must be something else. Thanks again for the suggestion!
