ah, that's because I've always viewed the dot in a version number as a decimal
point, so 3.249 + 0.001 = 3.25, but it seems at some time when I wasn't paying
attention much of the rest of the world decided the dot was no longer a decimal
point but a separator between integers, so it needs to be told 3.250 here.  Do
you want to make that change or shall I upload a new patch?
