Bryan, please tell me what information you require.

Filesystem, I sure hope not. ZFS is the file system in use.

Kernel, I thought this at first given that the bug started occurring in the
first half of this year and there's been few patches to 15.0-RELEASE. But if it
was the kernel, why is it working now with an older ports tree?

libarchive, I note that in 2026q1 and 2026q2 the libarchive port remained
unchanged. Maybe not?

ports-mgmt/poudriere, in 2026q1 it was 3.4.4 and in 2026q2 it was 3.4.6 and in
main now it is 3.4.8.

I might try a few builds using the main tree but with different versions of
poudriere. Perhaps it is a ports-mgmt/poudriere regression bug.
