https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=295645 --- Comment #2 from Joseph Mingrone <jrm@freebsd.org> --- Hi Benjamin, Questions: I recently noticed that transient is included with Emacs, including 30.2: https://github.com/emacs-mirror/emacs/blob/master/lisp/transient.el Do we still need this port? I need to ask myself the same question for a few other elisp ports, like compat.el. I think the answer is that these ports are still valuable because the versions included in Emacs may lag behind. Can you say a bit about what the new assets are for? I assume they are dependencies for transient.html to render nicely. I looked at that page in Firefox both with and without the assets and couldn't notice any obvious differences. All the themes appeared to work before. I'm asking because this introduces a new 24 MB tarball for a few small files. Comment: FYI, our port linters from ports-mgmt/portfmt (portclippy Makefile and portfmt -D Makefile) were happy before the formatting changes. Overall, I'd say this looks good, especially the removal of the textproc/gsed dependency. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
