The IP-> country code database on net/p5-IP-Country is very outdated. There are similar files for IP::Country::DB_File and Tools useful for testing are the ip2cc program in the package and host -t t= xt 1.2.3.4.ipasn.net which is a service by APNIC that goes to the ARIN databas= es.=20 It uses route RPKI data on the ASN routing tables as a data source.
