Installed packages: cpu-microcode-intel-20260227 os-cpu-microcode-intel-1.1 Current microcode after boot: x86info -a | grep -i micro Microcode version: 0x432 Boot log: dmesg | grep -i micro CPU microcode: no matching update found The package currently only contains: /usr/local/share/cpucontrol/06-9a-04.40 However, Linux microcode packages contain: - 06-9a-04.10 - 06-9a-04.40 - 06-9a-04.80 The Linux blobs are also significantly larger, suggesting that the FreeBSD split packaging may have omitted the .10 and .80 variants entirely. As a result, Alder Lake R0 platform 06-9a-04.80 systems appear to remain on firmware-provided microcode (0x432) instead of newer revisions (Linux currently loads 0x43a).
