I've asked separately if glebius and markj can have a look since both have been
active in recent kqueue changes.

Current issue is why we really need to have unit tests working and checked so
we can find issues, inform and resolve.

Generally speaking, in worst case you have a bug that causes silent data
corruption and in best case it's an edge case that's very rare. The "middle
ground" is that it causes crashes without corruption. 

Especially if worst case would occur, would you be content with "we found
issues with unit tests but we disregarded these as bogus/non important without
evaluation" as an excuse?
