that patch applied smoothly for me. i added:
BUILD_DEPENDS+=  bindgen:devel/rust-bindgen-cli
LIB_DEPENDS+=    libonig.so:devel/oniguruma

plus a files/patch-libs_core_uv__compat_tty.rs lookin like:

but i get a whole lot of repeated errors from ld:
relocation R_X86_64_32{,S} cannot be used against local symbol; recompile with
-fPIC

i'm cleaning up some of my dead ends to try some things over, but i'm afraid i
need you obi wan; i dont know where i would insert that flag or if its a
sensible idea
