I am closing this bug because siva@FreeBSD.org asked "Is this issue still
relevant?" in June 2025 and received no response. The issue was reported
against FreeBSD 13.2 with OpenSSL 1.1.1t, both of which are now very outdated.
The SSL certificate verification behavior has likely changed with subsequent
SWI-Prolog and OpenSSL updates.
