I am closing this bug because the error "Proxy must be specified as absolute
URI" indicates the HTTP_PROXY environment variable was set without the protocol
scheme (should be "http://10.1.1.250:3128" not "10.1.1.250:3128"). This is a
user configuration issue or an upstream perl HTTP client behavior, not a port
defect. No activity for over 4 years.
