I am closing this bug because databases/db5 is explicitly DEPRECATED with
"EOLd, potential security issues, maybe use db18 instead." The reported upgrade
issue with compat symlinks is a portupgrade interaction, not a db5 defect.
Users should migrate to db18 as recommended.
