I'm just a user, but I'm lost on why we're letting a security issue here sit in
the queue. I contacted the maintainer and he noted it's ready, but for whatever
reason he doesn't possess a commit bit so has to wait on someone (who may not
have interest in this port) to take care of this.

Anything I can do as a user to move this forward?
