Bug ID: 297986
Summary: multimedia/openh264 doesn't install Firefox add-on
Product: Ports & Packages
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Some People
Priority: ---
Component: Individual Port(s)

On FreeBSD 15.1, I have the openh264 and firefox packages installed. I'd
expect this to result in the openh264 add-on being available in firefox.
However when I navigate to about:addons and choose "OpenH264 Video Codec
provided by Cisco Systems, Inc.", I see "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco
Systems, Inc. will be installed shortly."
It never is installed, despite restarting Firefox, and the host system itself.
I can work around this by creating a symlink:
sudo ln -s /usr/local/lib/browser_plugins/gmp-gmpopenh264/gmpopenh264.js
/usr/local/lib/firefox/defaults/pref/gmpopenh264.js
... at which point when I restart I see that it's installed.
