Sorry for the long wait! I was working on this patch and on the patches for Bug
#297324 enabling the rest of the upstream test suite. Thanks for the feedback!

After enabling proper upstream tests, a few test failure groups stood out:

  1. Tests requiring an ssh test cluster (upstream CI infrastructure). These
were simply disabled, and only the remaining tests are explicitly called in
do-test:.
  2. pyyaml is an expected runtime dependency. Fixed by adding it to
RUN_DEPENDS.

Attached is the updated v2 patch (DISTVERSION, dropped DISTNAME, fixed WWW,
switched pytest to unittest via USES=python/USE_PYTHON=concurrent, added pyyaml
to RUN_DEPENDS, added bash to TEST_DEPENDS, and an explicit do-test: target
listing the passing test modules).
