using devel/gdb 15.1_4, on 16.0-CURRENT (commit 82ff1c334b97) on powerpc64 as a
VM under Linux QEMU/KVM, kgdb dies with SIGSEGV trying to debug a kernel dump:

root@ppc64-main:~ # kgdb /boot/kernel/kernel /var/crash/vmcore.0
