Thanks, my bad. I hadn't noticed that the framework already includes a knob for
enabling or disabling LTO.

However, besides just enabling fat LTO, upstream's 'release-lto' profile sets
other properties as well (see:
https://github.com/BurntSushi/ripgrep/blob/3a612f88b805e14aef45bfa43e25a54abc6297fc/Cargo.toml#L77).

That being said, since I'm not an expert on Rust build-time optimisation and
can't attest to whether the properties would have a beneficial effect on
performance, in this case I'd be inclined to go with the Ports setting.
