I don't mind it but would prefer if this is submitted upstream vs a FreeBSD
only patch. As a con to modifying a stop function vs a dedicated restart
function - when you really stopping because of a system shutdown (think UPS
battery low or simply a VM shutdown by hypervisor) you don't want to
potentially wait 5 seconds, you want the shutdown to complete ASAP.
