            Bug ID: 290810
Summary: mail/spamassassin: change the GNUPG default to GNUPG2?
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: cy@FreeBSD.org

Hi,

I recently ran into not being able to use a peer's GPG key, because that was
using algorithms not supported by gnupg1. Having both gnupg1 and gnupg2 on the
system can be done, but confuses everything, so I wanted to get rid of gnupg1 -
turns out that the default config aka "binary package build" of
mail/spamassassin depends on it.

Now, the port offers to build with GNUPG2, but that would require "build from
ports" which I'm trying to avoid for standard stuff.

Thus: would it be possible to change the default to GNUPG2 for
mail/spamassassin? Is there a good reason why it wants GNUPG1?

thanks

gert
