Lately, I have been only building with the default Perl 5 set to 5.36. So, I
haven't run into this particular error. Does the error disappear if the default
Perl5 is 5.3.6 (just trying to determine where I need to start to look).
I have a Lyrion port here in as bug #283493. if you are interested in trying
that instead. Ideally, that would be where I would fix this.
