thank you for confirming my hunch. i too seem to recall one or two
conversations about this in other contexts. now, correct me if i'm wrong but it
seems to me this issue has long since been identified yet we are NOT (?) going
to be seeing the "proper" fix make its way to /usr/include/net/ethernet.h in a
13.5-RELEASE-p1 or even stable/13?

i believe it was accepted with groans that until 13.x is EOL we'd have to drop
little turds like these attached into one or two handfuls of ports. i wish i
could point us to an earlier conclusive conversation; sorry it escapes me

these [redundant on 14.x] #include directives, they don't negatively affect the
build or output on 14.x, amirite? i dont run a 14.2 system on which i can
confirm this, at this time
