you're right. looks like A is nowhere in B's declared dependency tree. i guess
i brought this upon myself again for building in the mud lol

i'll investigate further and report back what is this pesky automagic
cleverness, where it is coming from and if it gains us anything useful here
(probably not)

you can decide whether or not to add this patchset to autoconf-archive or just
wait for their next official release, then. i did not _meticulously_ scrutinize
all 16, just 427e226a which mattered in my case at the time (along with
e25f8d9e & 3a23daa3, of identical form) which are very simple fixes to clearly
and utterly busted single lines of code

in the meantime, if anyone runs into this issue with AX_CHECK_GL
(_AX_CHECK_GL_MANUAL_LIBS_GENERIC), AX_CHECK_GLX
(_AX_CHECK_GLX_MANUAL_LIBS_GENERIC) or AX_SWITCH_FLAGS then maybe google or our
bugzilla guides them here
