Thanks Mark for the rebase, but that patch has been obsoleted by #283861 aka
D48228 which implement a pkg-triggers, which is, in my opinion, a superior
solution because it also allows to correctly handle other cases that are not
possible with the current implementation. Such as handling a port removing or
changing an entry during an upgrade and the removal of the file when all
packages are removed (see also 258859).
Sorry I should I've noted that before you did the work. Honestly, I was
expecting that this could have been resolved much quickly when I did D49228,
but this is out of my control (i.e. having committers getting interrested).
