Previous 1.9.10_1 was build without issues.

Actually I have build it just before seeing your patch, but my patch excludes
line 

${PYTHON_PKGNAMEPREFIX}pyyaml>0:devel/py-pyyaml@${PY_FLAVOR}
and USES was same as 1.9.10 
USES=          bison:alias compiler:c++14-lang cpe gmake libedit libtool

Have been surprised by the effect on machine with Python 3.12.11 and meson
1.7.0.
