            Bug ID: 288372
Summary: error message which appears when resolution is
                    adjusted between vt and xorg
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: pyrus@bsdmail.com

Error message which pops up when either vt or when xdm/xorg starts. When
xdm/xorg is turned off, and vt resolution is set, error message doesn't show.
When vt resolution is set and when xdm/xorg is turned on, error message doesn't
show either. The error occurs when both xdm/xorg is on, and vt resolution is
set.

drmn0: [drm] User-defined mode not supported: "1024x768": 60 64127 1024 1080
1184 1344 768 769 772 795 0x20 0x6

This is from setting /boot/loader.conf to
kern.vt.fb.modes_default="1024x768"

Got similar errors, when setting other resolutions like "1280x720".

When I set both vt resolution and xdm resolution through xrandr to 1024x768,
the error occurred less. The error also happens most when I switch terminals to
the xdm terminal to command line terminal consoles.

Also, this is when using vt under BIOS, instead of UEFI.

The resolution works, the problem is the excessive error messages. Also, to
note, in my case, I have two monitors, which I'm trying to set to the same
common resolution that they both support 1024x768, and 1280x720. Thank you
