system 1: /var/log/messages

After upgrading from 14.2-RELEASE to 14.3-RELEASE, amdgpu drivers have been
unstable.
This issue has existed since the upgrade and has only become more frequent with
the recent package drm-kmod upgrade.

$ uname -a
FreeBSD reverie 14.3-RELEASE FreeBSD 14.3-RELEASE
releng/14.3-n271432-8c9ce319fef7 GENERIC amd64

On two systems (one laptop and one desktop), the system freezes up after
starting x11 or sway.

On most boots, starting the x11 or sway will show a completely green screen and
will be unresponsive to keyboard input (including switching vts and
ctrl+alt+del). Pressing the power button will sometimes shut the system down
after some delay ranging between around 60 to 90 seconds. Sometimes, the system
can be reached via ssh, sometimes not.

On successful launches, the system may lock up after anywhere between seconds
to hours. The display remains as it was and the system is completely
unresponsive to keyboard input or the power button. After a few seconds, the
screen may flash. It appears this is the system attempting a recovery (see
attached /var/log/messages). It does not succeed.

The attached dmesg from the desktop (system 2) shows page flipping errors and
source locations.

The desktop (system 2) has only one HDMI display.
The laptop (system 1) has an HDMI display as well as the laptop pannel.
